On September 27th 2018, EUTECC hosted another successful fully booked forum in the beautiful city of Cologne. Jürgen Rüttgers, former (CDU) Minister President of North Rhine Westphalia, the distinguished guest gave a spectacular speech to all the participants. The forum was held at the Wolkenburg, in the heart of Cologne. Through this EUTECC forum, more than 50 European technology leaders had a deep understanding in how EUTECC’s tool box can help European hi-tech companies growing their business successfully and sustainably.

Prior to the event, Mr. Florian von Tucher, Chairman of EUTECC, had time to sit down with Mr. Jürgen Rüttgers for a private lunch and a conversation how to strengthen the position of European companies for the benefit of the German and Chinese economies. Last year Mr. Rüttgers joined an European task force with the goal to detect and implement forward-looking technologies within the economy.

The event was opened by Mr. Jürgen Rüttgers providing a keynote speech about the enormous chances for European companies in emerging markets. In succession, Mr. von Tucher gave a speech on unique opportunities and potential challenges in the Chinese market. Mr. von Tucher introduced EUTECC and its tools, which can help European companies and technology leaders to enter emerging markets. Other representatives of EUTECC gave the participants an understanding on how EUTECC’s different tools support European high-tech companies to become and stay successful in emerging markets.

Ms. Sierra Wang, Board Member of EUTECC, gave insights about China’s political system and the opportunities in China. The event was then concluded with a presentation by Mr. Rutger Hilkhuysen, General Manager of CIG Architecture, a world leading company specialized in 3D forming of all types of metal plates and profiles. Mr.Hilkhuysen introduced the company and the cooperation with EUTECC.

Apart from the fantastic response, a cooperation agreement to enter the Chinese market was signed between the Technology Expansion Partners and a leading technology company from the Netherlands. The participants received an overview and outlook on the current economy and methods of a successful entry into the Chinese market, especially for medium-sized companies. In the end, the participants got a deeper insight how EUTECC’s toolbox supports European high-tech companies in expanding their operations in a successful and sustainable manner.
