Marcus Wiemann is an executive manager & strategic advisor in Business Development and international Development Cooperation with a particular focus on Europe and Africa. With his strong expertise in the fields of policy advise & consultancy, marketing & communications and project management, his holistic view of global business chain as well as his focus on tech, innovation and digitalization, he is passionate in supporting companies by creating win-win partnerships and by navigating the complex and diverse marketplaces and seeking opportunities for profitable growth.
Marcus holds more than 20 years of demonstrated professional experience on a national and international level in the finance and energy industry. During that time, he developed strategic international market-building, business development and marketing & sales cooperation partnerships, B2C, B2B & B2F knowledge exchange & networking platforms as well as open space innovation dialogues. He is enthusiastic about playing a role in advancing markets in terms of growth and innovation and empowering companies to optimize their market shares and to access new business opportunities.
Marcus holds diplomas in Economics, International Relations/Developing Countries and Environmental Economics. Being committed to SDG and SEforALL objectives he brings in his entrepreneurial mindset, and pragmatic approach to achieve SMART Goals with his clients and partners.
As the Director Africa Chapter, Marcus will be supporting European and African corporations to create profitable new business together, contributing in reaching the SDGs around the globe and to use innovative technologies for the greater good.
