Africa Alliance -Evaluating Youth and Women Initiatives in Africa 2022

With 250+ registrations, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Africa Alliance webinar on “Evaluating Youth and Women Initiatives in Africa 2022” started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the three panelists by our moderator, Ms. Svetlana Nyameyo who is the coordinator of the Africa Alliance.

The three experienced panelists for today’s webinar were:
·        Ms. Karin Heinzl, Founder of MentorMe Germany & MentorMe Kenya,
·        Mr. Linda Khumalo, Founding Director at SADICO,
·        Mr. Mickey Lazar, Founder and Director of OGIN Solutions Ltd, Israel.

While addressing the webinar, the speakers discussed the challenges faced by the youth and women in Africa. They talked about the critical technology skills shortage in the region and industry vacuum in the high-tech skills in communities.

Moreover, they also discussed the problems faced by the youth and women in the digital technology industry due to the lack of technology skills. The panelists also discussed the huge potential for growth, entrepreneurship, and opportunities, as well as rural development, at the same time it can offer jobs to trained youth and women.
