Exciting Developments in Technology-empowered Digital Trade in Asia Pacific!

EUTECH APAC Alliance just wrapped up an insightful webinar on, “Technology-empowered Digital Trade in Asia Pacific,” and we are thrilled to share some key takeaways with you.

One of the most exciting aspects discussed at this webinar was, how emerging technologies, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing, are revolutionizing the way trade is conducted in the Asia Pacific. The panel of experts highlighted their potential to enhance efficiency, transparency, and security throughout the entire trade ecosystem.

Our keynote speaker, Shahid Hussain, Founder and CEO of Green Proposition, provided valuable insights on China’s pioneering digital trade expansion. He highlighted the booming phenomenon of Live-commerce, where businesses achieve conversion rates as high as 30%, significantly surpassing traditional e-commerce platforms.

Additionally, Shahid Hussain elaborated on the tremendous success of China’s Live-streaming of agricultural products on platforms such as Alibaba, ByteDance, Tencent, and Pinduo, which generated a $63 billion market in 2022.

The distinguish speakers addressed several engaging questions from the coordinator and audience and addressed important points like:

·        E-commerce Regulations: Governments should establish clear and consistent regulations covering consumer protection, online payments, intellectual property rights, and data privacy.

·        Data Privacy: Safeguards and regulations are necessary to protect privacy and prevent data misuse in digital trade.

·        Data Protection Laws: Comprehensive laws governing the collection, storage, and transfer of personal and business data across borders should be established by governments.

The webinar highlighted the importance of regulations and data protection in promoting a secure and trustworthy digital trade environment.
