One more efficacious webinar was held by the EU Tech Chamber China Alliance on 15 Dec 2022. The topic of this digital talk was, “Metaverse in China: Opportunities for Europeans”

Our keynote speaker: Olinga Taeed as an expert advisor and council member to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce’s ‘China ECommerce Blockchain Committee,” shared his insights and said, “We aim to build an adaptive data-driven platform so we can ensure we embrace the innovation that’s moving fast in this space…” He included the statistic that 80% of Western consumers buy as a result of influencing marketing, whereas 70% of Chinese Gen Z consumers buy directly via social media KOL.

Taking part in the discussion Shahid Hussain – Founder and CEO of Green Proposition, Ayesha Mubarak Ali – Co-Founder of Metavisionaries and Remko Poierrie – Managing Partner of Metascape Labs added, China and the West have distinct and complimentary approaches to the Metaverse. China’s Metaverse could wind up being a digital extension of the actual world, with comparable regulations applicable.

Promoted by The EU Tech Chamber and the China Alliance, this Digital Talk aimed to encourage opportunities brought by Metaverse not only benefit tech giants, but also SME in Europe.
