ESG Mastery for Manufacturers focuses on navigating the complexities of European reporting standards and achieving sustainable outcomes. To delve into this dynamic topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Manufacturing Alliance organized a webinar on March 12, 2024. The topic under discussion was, “ESG Mastery for Manufacturers: Navigating European Reporting and Outcomes”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by Muhammad Umer Afzal, who is the coordinator of the Manufacturing Alliance.

The speakers for today’s event were:
• Dr Renuka Thakore Thakore, Founder and CEO, Global Sustainable Futures Network CIC, UK,
• Dr. Sajjad Haydar PE, Professor and Consulting Environmental Engineer.

During the webinar, speakers focused on the significance of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) mastery for manufacturers, underlining the critical importance of balancing the three foundational pillars of sustainability: economic viability, environmental responsibility, and social equity. The dialogue further examined how environmental and social sustainability are intrinsically linked, emphasizing that actions to protect the environment invariably benefit societal well-being.

Elaborating on environmental sustainability, the discussion touched on several key areas such as promoting sustainable industrial practices, encouraging the shift towards renewable energy sources, enhancing international cooperation for global sustainability goals, and the pivotal role of recycling and reusing waste to minimize environmental impact.
