“Promoting the transition to renewable energies: politics and economics in harmony”

On 10th. In January 2024, the Climate Action Alliance of the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) hosted a webinar on “Promoting the transition to renewable energy: politics and economics in harmony”. The webinar began with a brief overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by our moderator, Aimal Jehangir, Coordinator of the Climate Action Alliance.

The webinar began with our keynote speaker, Karin Jancykova, Program Manager Climate and Energy “KAS”. The other panelists of the webinar were:

·       Jakob Selinger : CEO @ ecoTRN | Revolutionizing Green Jobs Training
·       Sandra Schecker : Freelance journalist & researcher
·       Alexander Caesar : Expert in Foresight Leading In her presentation,

Karin Jancykova  highlighted challenges in the area of ​​energy supply, environmental impacts of conventional energies and the advantages of renewable energies. In his presentation, Markus Fischer showed that the switch from fossil to renewable resources will lead to sustainable emissions reductions. In addition to the climate benefits, renewable energies also help create jobs and strengthen the economy. Jakob Selinger emphasized that we can only overcome the climate crisis if we think beyond technology and train the people who will use and implement this technology. Sandra Auditer explained how big, bold global political demands can help strengthen the movement for a fossil fuel-free future. She also stressed the need for international cooperation. Alexander Caesar presented a project for the dissemination of creation-compliant technologies for preserving the environment, shaping the energy transition, water treatment and fresh water supply.
