Mobility Alliance -Impact in the Transformation of Mobility through International Collaboration

International collaboration can play a significant role in driving the transformation of mobility towards more sustainable and human-centric models. By working together across borders and sectors, stakeholders can leverage their collective knowledge, expertise, and resources to develop innovative solutions that address common challenges and opportunities.

To take a closer look on this topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Mobility Alliance organized a webinar on April 18, 2023. The topic under discussion was, “Impact in the Transformation of Mobility Through International Collaboration”.

The webinar started off with an opening speech by Bernd Mattner who is the chair of Mobility Alliance. Next, we had Serdar Yucel, director of the Mobility Alliance, who gave a short overview of the organization and ARZU TEKIR, Board Member of Mobility Alliance, moderated the event.

The panelists for today’s webinar were:

Kerem Tiryakiogluğlu, Cofounder & CEO of Flexigo,
Paulo Humanes, Director Mobility, Cities & Automotive at CEiiA,
Ivo Cré, Director Policy & Projects at Polis,
ARZU TEKIR, Founder & CEO of Urbanite Venture, and Board Member of Mobility Alliance at EUTECH.

During the webinar, one of the speakers emphasized the importance of international cooperation in achieving development goals. The speaker highlighted that sharing successes, failures, and information is crucial for understanding how to use them as building blocks towards progress. Therefore, the speaker mentioned that international cooperation must be a central part of any discussion related to achieving development goals.

In the webinar, another speaker discussed the importance of offering quality mobility services at affordable prices. However, the speaker acknowledged that achieving this goal is easier said than done. The notion of affordability is relatively straightforward and refers to the total cost of the vehicle divided by the number of miles driven.

Nonetheless, the provision of mobility services and technology solutions can vary significantly depending on the market and location. The speaker also stressed the need to provide comprehensive data to mobility providers and financial institutions to enable them to make informed decisions about pricing and service offerings.

We want to thank our respectable speakers for their informed insights on this much-needed topic. Moreover, special thanks to Bernd Mattner for opening the webinar and Arzu Tekir for moderating the webinar and Serdar Yucel for distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.

Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next Mobility Alliance webinar on May 16, 2023, about “Needs of Transport Industry to Become Climate Neutral”.
