Smart Cities Alliance – Challenges and Opportunities of Smart Cities

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the four panelists by our moderator, Mr. Frederik Simon Pierre Tchoungui who is the coordinator of the Smart Cities Alliance.

The webinar started off with our keynote speaker, Ms. Katharina Paoli Brunat, Founder and CEO at Nudgd. The other three panelists were Mr. Emmanuel Rono, Chairperson ITECH Club at Zetech University, and Mr. Paul Maupin, Marketing Director at PTOLEMUS Consulting Group. Last but not the least, we had Mr. Tony Kolotov, Air Quality Advocate at AtmocubeAir.

While addressing the webinar, our keynote speaker discussed how cities can enhance their smart city systems by incorporating a behavioral approach. She further talked about Mobility-as-a-Service (Maas) as an important component of smart cities, as it can help support their goals of sustainability, efficiency, and improved quality of life.

The speakers also spoke about the importance of MaaS as it can help the environmental impact of transportation and improve accessibility and mobility for all citizens. Moreover, they emphasized on the significance of data as it is a crucial component in the development and management of smart cities.
The use of data can help cities make informed decisions, improve the efficiency of public services, and enhance the quality of life for citizens.

We want to thank our speakers for their informed insights on this essential topic. Moreover, special thanks to Mr. Frederik Tchoungui for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.

Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next Smart Cities Alliance webinar on “Smart Cities: Accelerating the Transition to Net-Zero” on March 07, 2023.
