Artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to play a major role in shaping global competitiveness and productivity over the next couple of decades, granting early adopters significant societal, economic, and strategic advantages. Moreover, AI  has reached a new stage of maturity in recent years and is becoming a driver of digitization and autonomous systems in all spheres of life.

AI can take on very different tasks in companies: In the HR department, it can help filter out the right candidates from the pile of applications; in industry, it can handle highly complex tasks and continuously improve production processes.

To date, many German companies have a split view of artificial intelligence. Although they judge AI to be useful for business, many companies consider its use in their own operations to be too risky, while others simply fail to implement AI approaches internally. In autonomous driving, for example, the German automotive industry does not occupy a leading position compared with other countries. The main obstacles to the use of AI in the industry are the high costs, but also the lack of skills.

Within our webinar of the EU Tech Chamber German Chapter on Tuesday, June 8th from 9.00 to 10.30 am CEST we are going to discuss the power of AI as a Key-Driver of Innovation and its positive impact on the Industry, why Europe and especially Germany cannot rest and how companies can become “AI ready”. We invited great experts on the field of AI to this round to exchange perspectives and experiences in regards to this interesting theme.
