24 March – EU Tech Chamber Smart Cities Council – Topic: Effective Waste Management in Smart Cities

The way in which cities tackle waste management requires drastic improvements if we are to transition to a circular economic model. However, although technology plays an integral part in expediting the transition to a zero-waste economy, changing consumer habits remains a complex challenge that requires a bottom-up and multisectoral approach.

Smart Technologies can aid in a transformation of waste management though many barriers still persist.

Here the EU Tech Chamber Smart Cities Council aims to explore the importance of using a bottom-up approach when trying to tackle waste within cities whereby technology can be used as a facilitator for enacting changes in consumer habits.

Join our upcoming EU Tech Smart Cities Digital Panel on Wednesday, March 24th at 9:00 am on the topic „Effective Waste Management in Smart Cities” and listen to an interesting Panel Discussion.
