Budapest Delegation 2024: A Milestone in Strengthening EU Partnerships for Sustainable Progress and Lasting Impact

EUTECH’s interactions have helped make companies navigate through the digital transformation sphere and for government bodies shaping future policies. And through our constant presence in the European Union, we have made milestones that helped sharpen the region’s focus toward sustainable progress.

With this mission, we launched SIERA Alliance—Sustainability, Impact, Environmental Responsibility Alliance—to transform Green Deal resources into practical benefits for industries.

In line with this new mission, EUTECH led a high-level Industry Councils delegation to Budapest, Hungary, from November 4–6, 2024, fostering collaboration on sustainable tech solutions. The organisation envisions a future where technology underpins sustainable growth, and we are here to lead the way forward.

Over three days, the delegation engaged in strategic discussions on Hungary’s role in implementing EU sustainability frameworks, leveraging global technology trends, and fostering partnerships for green industrial growth.

Summary:

The visit began with a meeting with the Hungary Green Building Council (HuGBC) to explore collaborative opportunities with EUTECH. This was followed by discussions with the Ministry for National Economy, focusing on industrial policy and technology. Subsequent talks with the Ministry of Energy addressed Hungary’s renewable energy transition, aligning with EU climate goals. On November 5th, conversations with the National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD) highlighted joint initiatives in clean technology and green industry. Additional meetings with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade covered trade policy and regulatory harmonization, while the session with the Hungarian Innovation Association emphasized sustainability in technology, digital transformation, and green innovation.

On November 6th, the delegation’s final meeting with the European Commission Representation in Hungary explored partnerships in digital transformation and sustainability. The delegation successfully established strategic alliances, influenced policy, and initiated collaborative projects aligned with EUTECH and SIERA Alliance’s goals of advancing sustainability and innovation across Europe. This visit provided a crucial platform for exchanging ideas, strengthening partnerships, and building connections across the continent.

The delegation included members from both EUTECH and SIERA Alliance’s industry councils, underscoring a commitment to deepening collaborative efforts and providing an exceptional platform for members to present cutting-edge ideas directly to Europe’s leading policymakers.

Through this initiative, members shared valuable insights on digital innovation and sustainability, influencing high-level policy discussions.

In this pivotal era of environmental challenges and technological opportunities, EUTECH remains committed to driving sustainable innovation. We believe that industrial transformation aligned with the Green Deal must integrate with global tech advancements.aefvsbtrndty
