Climate Action Alliance – Sustainable Energy Systems: Best Practices and Future Trends

Climate change is an urgent global challenge that demands immediate action. The increasing concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere – primarily caused by human activities – has led to a rise in global temperatures, resulting in detrimental effects on the planet. To combat this environmental crisis and ensure a sustainable future, the adoption of sustainable energy systems has become imperative.

On 12 July, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Climate Action Alliance organised a webinar on the topic, “Sustainable Energy Systems: Best practices and future trends”.

The webinar started off with a brief overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panellists by our moderator, Mr. Aimal Jehangir, who is a coordinator at EU TECH.
The panellists of the webinar were:

·        Ms. Karin Jancykova, Programme Manager Climate and Energy, Multinational Development Policy Dialogue,

·        Mr. Naveesh Reddy, Independent Consultant, Nuclear Energy

·        Mr. Dr. Markus Forstmeier, Sales and Business Development Officer – EIT Inno Energy,

·        Mr. Rajeshwar Bachu, CEO and Founder of Zero-Carbon, GmbH,

·        Mr. @Luis Mora, Energy analyst, Internee at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

During the webinar, the speakers covered several pertinent topics with regards to the key contributors to climate change: i.e. the burning of fossil fuels for energy generation. The speakers explored the best practices and future trends in sustainable energy systems, highlighting innovative approaches and technologies that can help mitigate climate change while meeting the world’s growing energy demands.

Many thematic fields were under the umbrella, namely, renewable energy, energy innovation, smart grids and buildings, transport, mobility and the circular economy. All these – coupled with a technological focus and yet with attention to the life-cycle of materials in relation to industry growth – is imperative in realistically catalyzing this building a resilient, sustainable future.

We want to thank our speakers for their insights and for sharing their experience. Moreover, special thanks to Mr. Aimal for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panellists.

Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next Climate Action Alliance webinar!
