Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation are reshaping workplaces, boosting productivity and efficiency while reducing reliance on human labor. However, there are concerns about the potential negative impact of automation on employment and job security, as well as ethical considerations around the use of AI in decision-making processes.

To take a closer look at the topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Digital Transformation Alliance organized a webinar on May 18, 2023. The topic under discussion was, “AI in the Workplace – How Automation is Changing the Narrative?”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by Mr. Frederik Simon Pierre Tchoungui who is the coordinator of the Digital Transformation Alliance.
The three panelists for today’s webinar were:

·        Mr. Tim Frech, Team Lead at UNITY,
·        Mr. Milos Stankovic, International Consultant at EBRD,
·        Mr. Julia Katrin Rohde, CEO & Co-Founder at Corbiota.

During the webinar, the speakers highlighted the significance of digitalization and its impact on various aspects of business. Key topics included digital organization, digital customer connection, and the development of digital services and products.

The discussion also touched upon the 4-level model of future-oriented company design, comprising foresight, strategy, process, and system. It was emphasized that the successful implementation of digital use cases relies on effectively addressing all four factors.
