Digital finance transformation is the process of using digital technologies to modernize financial services. The goal is to make financial services more efficient, effective, and accessible. This can be done by automating manual processes, improving customer interaction, and increasing transparency.

To take a closer look at the topic and understand exactly how they can make a huge difference, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Digital Transformation Alliance organized a webinar on November 17, 2022. The topic under discussion was, “The Importance of Digital Transformation in Finance Sector”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by Mr. Frederik Simon Pierre Tchoungui who is the coordinator of the Digital Transformation Alliance.

The keynote speaker for today’s webinar was Ms. Mirjana Ivanusa-Bejzak from Slovenia, a senior lecturer on blockchain technology. She is also very active in improving career opportunities for women in the fintech and blockchain industry. Then, we had Ms. Camila Medrano, Fintech and Business Analytics expert located in Barcelona, Spain.

Last but not the least, we had Ms. Judith Frickenstein, Head of Digital Transformation of the Financial Sector and Financial Inclusion at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

While addressing the webinar, the speakers discussed the role of digital finance transformation to make financial services accessible and efficient. They also discussed the importance of big data and artificial intelligence in providing significant support and simplifying complex processes in various areas.

Furthermore, the panelists gave a quick overview about the evolution of the web from 1.0 to 3.0. They also discussed the importance of blockchain professionals in finance companies to elicit and explore customer’s needs and perspectives across sectors.
