Digital Transformation Alliance – The Role of Digital Transformation in Human Resources

The EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Digital Transformation Alliance held an enlightening Digital Talk on the topic of ““The Role of Digital Transformation in Human Resources” on Thursday 21st July 2022.

Moderated by Nedzad Piric, MBA, Ph.D candidate, Director of Digital Transformation Alliance. Whereas Serdar Yucel, Director of Mobility Alliance at EUTECH introduced the vision and services of EU Tech Chamber to the panelists.

This digital talk wonderfully elaborated that how with emerging technologies and digital transformations in companies, one should take into account the needs of those who aren’t working in technological disciplines. In some cases, this will mean involving them in the plan. For example, 86% of organizations that participate in the Forbs Competitiveness Study have appointed digital transformation leaders to oversee digital transformation efforts.

Sissi Zhao- Director of Go Global G.E.O Group, organized some good information in the form of data. She described the major challenges to the HR to attain the digital transformation. “63% of the companies leaders indicate the top issues preventing them from achieving success in their digital transformation-including, company’s established culture, hiring challenges, and talent retention.” She spoke. While she was speaking about the challenges, she also brought certain solutions in front of the panelists to manage these challenges.

Taking part in the discussion Emil Jimenez, Founder & CEO at Mind Bank Ai, notified the digital transformation goals need to be aligned with the human as a resource. “We should not forget the people because people are better play a role as leaders- they can change their personality if they are aware of their personality, so they can become better leaders.” He said.

Indulging into the discussion, Mohamed GUESMI– Manager, Analytics & Insights at Merck Group, shared his thoughts about the role of digitalization in HR in this era. He answered to a very interesting question as, “if you are a global company and you are planning to do hiring globally, then digital enabled interview is recommended and if you are doing so for local hiring and that is for executive positions then first round should be digital enabled and then if you are able to do face to face interview based on the results then keep in mind that face to face interviews are costly in all aspects.”

The webinar concluded with the distribution of tree certificates to the webinar’s panelist by Benedikt Grütz, Vice-President of the European Senate, appreciating their active participation.

EU Tech Chamber extends the deepest appreciation to our speakers for their knowledgeable insights. We would also like to thank all attendees who follow us on our mission to build bridges by leveraging technology for the benefit of Europe and mankind.

Stay tuned for up-coming events and activities by EU Tech Chamber Digital Transformation Alliance on August 18, 2022.
