Eco-Mindscape: Smart Cities as Gardens for Sustainable Living and Innovation

To address this topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Smart Cities Alliance organized a webinar on January 9th, 2024. The topic under discussion was, “Eco-mindscape smart cities as gardens for sustainable living and innovation”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by our moderator, Ms. Aeerena Nakşidil Khan who is the coordinator of Smart Cities Alliance.

The webinar commenced with our keynote speaker, Catharina Cerny, Sr Engineer Cslt-Ntwk Global Advanced Technology Support at Verizon
. The other panelists for the webinar were:
·      Dr.Ikechi Agbugba, PhD – PETS Advocate and BRECER Originator
·      Asmae Ben Bahida – Founder BIM and Smart Cities Board advisor at Eu-Tech

During the webinar, Catharina Cerny highlighted the use of Ecosystems in Smart Cities to make them 100% Smart and to use them to create energy that is 100% renewable with less carbon footprint she also highlighted the use of IOT to engage smart cities and Eco-scape mindset
Moreover, Ms. Asmae ben bahida discussed transition to renewables requires a balanced approach, where this transition could be disruptive and costly. She stated in-cooperation of Smart cities in this world with lead to huge reduction I carbon footprint and attain the sustainable goals.
