Energy Alliance – “Green” Energy in the Production of the Agricultural Sector

In agricultural production “green” energy belongs to the programs of the UN SDGs (Goals No. 2,7,9,1 5). The area of the world’s agricultural land is 5 billion hectares with an employment of about 1 billionhectares of population. Agriculture is the largest source of CO2 emissions – up to 14% and is characterized by energy consumption of up to 30% of the cost of production.Technologies and the basis for the expansion of the use of renewable energy sources, drugs for crop production, animal feed, for the maintenance and cultivation of land. The creation of organic farms that produce biologically complete food products contributes to the development of an eco-friendly agrocomplex.Developed countries are reforming agriculture with the transfer to an energy base based on renewable energy sources, which is especially important in the context of structural crises in the energy sector. The use of renewable energy sources is of paramount importance for farms remote from network power lines. The experience confirms the efficiency of solar and wind energy, biomass energy, the near future of environmentally friendly small hydropower plants and geothermal energy. An important place is in the use of biomass: from agricultural waste, specially grownx “energy crops”, woodfor the manufacture of biofuels both for own needs and for other sectors of the economy. In the production of biogas from biomass, about 20% falls on agricultural raw materials in the form of energy plants, while environmentally friendly fertilizers are obtained as a by-product.Promising trends in renewable energy sources are thee-electro provision of automatization and digital monitoring, for example, groups of robots in pasture cattle breedingusing hybrid energy systems of wind stations and new solar panels, drone scouts to track crops in the fields.In the promotion of renewable energy in agriculture, improvements in energy storage and transformation systems, the creation of a new generation of solar panels with long-term energy storage, the achievement of grid parity of the green and traditional energy markets, considering the requirements of decarbonization and the introduction of distributed energy are evaluated as important factors.
