Sustainable investing has caught the attention of those interested in protecting the environment. Climate change is a key concern for environmentalists, but also offers potential profits for renewable energy investors.

To take a closer look at each of them and understand exactly how they can make a huge difference, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Environment Alliance organized a webinar on November 04, 2022. The topic under discussion was, “Green Investing: Trends and Opportunities”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by our moderator, Mr. Salvatore Cavallaro who is also the coordinator of the Environment Alliance.

The two panelists who joined today were, Mr. Francesco Perlini, Head of Financial Operations at World Trade Organization (WTO), and Mr. 🌲Antti Kosunen, CEO and co-founder of Earthster.org.
The speakers gave a detailed overview about the important trends within the green investing sector. The three trends were:

·        Trend 1: Beyond ESG (environmental, social, and governance) to impact
·        Trend 2: From impact products to impact integration
·        Trend 3: EU taxonomy tsunami

Moreover, the speakers discussed the barriers and issues related to technology development and its unpredictable profitability. They also talked about the sustainable use and protection of water/marine resources and protection and restoration of biodiversity & ecosystems.
