IoT Alliance – Navigating Complex Challenges of AIoT in the Connected World

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) has resulted in the development of AIoT (AI+IoT) technology. AIOT has the potential to revolutionize the way we live and work, but it also brings significant challenges.

To know more about this, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Internet of Things (IoT) Alliance organized a webinar on April 21, 2023. The topic under discussion was, “Navigating Complex Challenges of IoT in the Connected World”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by Mr. Frederik Simon Pierre Tchoungui who is the coordinator of the IoT Alliance.

The keynote speaker for today’s event was Mr. Nicolas Spiegl, Industry 4.0 Partner at UReason. The other two panelists were Ms. Özge Karadağ, Data Analyst in Sales at Bosch Rexroth, and Mr. Andrea Pedica, IoT Firmware Lead at Haier Europe.

During the webinar, the speakers emphasized the significance of data in driving the machine learning algorithms that underpin AI systems in IoT devices. They also highlighted the criticality of maintaining data privacy in AIoT, as the technology heavily depends on gathering, storing, and analyzing substantial amounts of personal and sensitive data.

Moreover, the speakers addressed the difficulties of incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into the Internet of Things (IoT) and highlighted several challenges, including managing data effectively, ensuring data privacy and security, and the absence of standardization and interoperability among IoT devices and platforms.

We want to thank our respectable speakers for their informed insights on this much-needed topic. Moreover, special thanks to Mr. Frederik Simon Pierre Tchoungui for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.

Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next IoT Alliance webinar on May 19, 2023, on “Monetizing Data and Building Sustainable IoT Business Models”.
