SDG Alliance -Business and the SDGs: What to Expect and How to Lead?

With the increasing world population, more effort and innovation will be urgently required in order to sustainably improve the global supply chain and increase agricultural production. Moreover, the degradation of environment has been continuing for a long time causing an irreversible damage to the environment.

To take a closer look at each of them and understand exactly how they can make a huge difference, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) SDG Alliance organized a webinar on October 13, 2022. The topic under discussion was, “Business and the SDGs: What to expect and how to lead?”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization by Ms. Svetlana Nyameyo who is the coordinator of EU Tech Chamber. The event was co-moderated by Ms. Celisa Day, coordinator of the SDG Alliance, who also gave a formal introduction of the panelists.

The two honorable panelists who participated in today’s event were, Ms. Chiara Verderese, Business Development & Technical Support at Is CLEAN AIR Italia S.r.l. and Mr. Saverio Danubio, Founder of Blue Wings Composting and a sustainable solutions expert.

While addressing the webinar, Ms. Chiara Verderese talked about the importance of clean air and its impact on creating a healthier and safer environment. She also discussed the challenges and recommendations for creating a healthier environment. The key recommendations were reducing energy consumption, reducing waste and fight obsolescence, and measuring and analyzing greenhouse gas emissions.

On the other hand, Mr. Saverio Danubio highlighted some key issues regarding the prospects of food and food security problems worldwide. Furthermore, he urged investors, with a sincere and deep attention towards sustainability and innovation, to support waste to farm companies.

We want to thank our respectable speakers for their informed insights on this much-needed topic. Moreover, special thanks to Ms. Svetlana Nyameyo and Ms. Celisa Day for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.

Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next SDGs Alliance webinar on November 11, 2022, about “SDGs in Developing Countries”.
