Smart Cities Alliance – Sustainable Transport for Smart Cities

Sustainable transport is one aspect of achieving smart city status. Both terminologies have a lot in common in terms of elements and outputs as they both aim at achieving better living conditions for urban communities.

To learn more about this topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Smart Cities Alliance organized a webinar on January 10, 2023. The topic under discussion was, “Sustainable Transport for Smart Cities”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the four panelists by our moderator, Mr. Frederik Simon Pierre Tchoungui who is the coordinator of the Smart Cities and Digital Transformation Alliance.

The webinar started off with our keynote speaker, Mr. Federico Bernabei, CTO at presso RailEvo. The other three panelists were Mr. Tom van Arman, a smart city strategist, and Ms. Yao Schultz-Zheng, Founder and CEO of E-Mobility Sharing Economy Services. Last but not the least, we had Mr. Bernd Mattner, Chair of EU Tech Chamber Mobility Alliance.

While addressing the webinar, our keynote speaker discussed the importance of sustainable transport and its focus on the ability of societies to make development sustainable while ensuring that it meets the needs of the present without compromising those of future generations.

Moreover, the speakers talked about sustainable transport as one of the driving elements as far as achieving smart cities is concerned.

We want to thank our speakers for their informed insights on this essential topic. Moreover, special thanks to Mr. Frederik Tchoungui for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.

Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next Smart Cities Alliance webinar on “Challenges and Opportunities of Smart Cities” on February 07, 2023.
