Smart Cities Alliance – The Future of the Smart Cities

With over 125 registered attendees, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Smart Cities Alliance held a Digital Panel on the topic “The Future of Smart Cities” on 07th June.

The webinar kick-started with a general introduction by Nedzad Piric, MBA, Ph.D candidate (Digital Transformation & Smart Cities Director at EUTECH), the host of the webinar, followed by a glimpse into the core of EUTECH’s mission by Marcus Wiemann.

The keynote speaker, Sandra Baer, CEO of Personal Cities—a smart city company focused on innovation, elaborated that starting with small steps is essential for the future of the smart cities post-pandemic. “The future of our cities, the future of our planet, depends on our collective ability to build trust. Become a Trust Ambassador!” she said.

Joel Myers, the panelist sharing his valuable insight, stated that for the future of the smart cities, “we need to have stronger collaborations with those involved in taking political decisions, and working on budgets that do affect the future.”

Lastly, panelist Pedro Pires highlighted the importance of zooming out, and having a bigger perspective when it comes to technology and innovation!

Filled with exciting discussions, many comments and questions, and different points of view, the webinar unleashed a lot of information. We extend our deepest gratitude to our keynote speaker and panelists for their knowledgeable insights. It was indeed a pleasure to have you!
