A metaverse is a term is used to describe a future version of the internet where virtual, persistent, and shared spaces are accessed. The metaverse can be envisaged as being used within the four walls of an enterprise for its own internal purposes or externally to interact with customers and other stakeholders.

To take a closer look at the topic and understand exactly how they can make a huge difference, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Digital Transformation Alliance organized a webinar on December 08, 2022. The topic under discussion was, “Understanding Enterprise Adoption of Metaverse”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by Mr. Frederik Simon Pierre Tchoungui who is the coordinator of the Digital Transformation Alliance.

The webinar started off with our first speaker, Ms. Nastaran Hashemi, Tech-oriented Fashion Designer and Co-Founder of Orbyline. The second panelist was Ms. Sogand Nobahar, Founder of Nobahar Design and Co-Founder of Orbyline. The third speaker for today’s webinar was Ms. Laila AL Hadhrami, Metaverse Advisor at MulhimVR.

While addressing the webinar, the speakers discussed the evolution of metaverse and talked about the top trending metaverse platforms. They also discussed the impact of metaverse on several industries, including fashion and clothing.

Furthermore, the panelists informed the audience about different fashion companies such as Gucci, Nike, Burberry, and Lacoste, that have invested in virtual advertisements and exhibitions. One of the panelists discussed the metaverse technologies such as blockchain, AR, VR, Web3, and NFT.
