Environment Alliance – Climate Resilience: Companies and Governments Response

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today, and it is clear that we need to take swift and decisive action to address it. It has become crucial for companies and governments to take proactive measures to build resilience and adapt to an ever-changing world.

To know more about the topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Environment Alliance organized a webinar on March 10, 2023. The topic under discussion was, “Climate Resilience: Companies and Governments Response”.

The webinar started off with an opening speech by Dr. Igor V. Gladkov who is the coordinator of the Energy Alliance. Next, we had our moderator Mr. Jacopo Frattini who gave a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists.

The first panelist for today’s webinar was Ms. Kaisa Hernberg, Principal, Head of Sustainability and ESG services, Finland, DNV. Next, we had Dr Renuka Thakore, Lecturer, Founder, Global Sustainable Futures Progress through Partnership Network. Last but not the least, we had Mr. Stephen Sykes FRSA, Co Founder and Director at 2030hub.

During the webinar, the speakers emphasized the crucial steps required to achieve greater climate resilience. They presented key actions that both businesses and policymakers can take to mitigate the impact of climate change. Additionally, the speakers discussed the mitigation and resilience scale for businesses, shedding light on how organizations can scale their efforts to achieve greater climate resilience.

The webinar highlighted key steps for businesses, such as increasing energy efficiency and reducing fossil fuel usage, while policymakers were advised to support necessary infrastructure development and remove market barriers for climate-positive goods and services.

Overall, the webinar provided valuable insights into the actions required to build resilience and adapt to the rapidly changing climate.

We want to thank our respectable speakers for their informed insights on this much-needed topic. Moreover, special thanks to Dr. Igor V. Gladkov and Mr. Jacopo Frattini for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.

Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next Environment Alliance!
