Finance and predictive analytics make up a dynamic realm where cutting-edge data science meets sustainable business practices. In order to examine this powerful tool in our current digital age, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Finance Alliance organised a webinar on August 23, 2023. The topic under discussion was, “Predictive Analytics for Circular Business Models”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organisation and a formal introduction of the participants by Mr. Mohsin Raza, coordinator of the Finance Alliance. Our keynote speaker for the day was Mr. Peter Kristensen, Chairman & Founder at JP Fund Services SA (Switzerland). The panellists who joined him, were:

· Mr. Adam Hill, COO and Partner at SGT Markets and Trademakers Platform
· Mr.Gregor Boltar, Co-Founder & COO at YPass

During the webinar, the speakers discussed the use of technology to enhance efficiency in financial transactions, and optimise transparency in financial instruments. Using statistical algorithms, and machine learning would empower organisations to efficiently plan and predict data flow, and improve the Efficiency of transactions, by open ledgers. Overall, to make informed decisions, minimise waste, and foster a more sustainable future.
They touched upon power, the focus on alternative energy, sustainability and geographical jurisdictions. The commonality however was acknowledging the need to leverage technology and discussing that the best way to do this Is by introducing circular business models. In essence, the webinar provided the opportunity to deliberate the fusion of data-driven decision-making with circular economy principles, contributing to more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally responsible business practices.
