Smart Cities Alliance – Smart Cities Transition to Zero Carbon Mobility

From reducing the global energy transition, to promoting sustainable investment practices, smart cities are becoming the nexus for driving our global transition to a zero-carbon future.

To talk about the importance of this topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Smart Cities Alliance organized a webinar on December 06, 2022. The topic under discussion was, “Smart Cities Transition to Zero-Carbon Mobility”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the three panelists by our moderator, Mr. Frederik Simon Pierre Tchoungui who is the coordinator of the Smart Cities and Digital Transformation Alliance.

The webinar started off with our keynote speaker, Mr. Rajeshwar Bachu, Founder and CEO at Zero-Carbon GmbH. The other two panelists were Mr. Giuseppe Gagliano Gargliano, Founder of 17tons.earth and Head of Strategy at Bizmatica Econocom. The third speaker for today’s webinar was Mr. Sahid Sesay, Founder and President of Smart Connect IoT.

While addressing the webinar, our keynote speaker discussed important steps of transition to a zero-carbon mobility system for smart cities including deployment of cutting-edge technology and the utilization of renewable energy sources. The panelists also discussed the importance of renewable energy sources to power transportation infrastructure in smart cities.

Furthermore, the speakers discussed some other possible ways to attain zero-carbon mobility through smart cities transition. Some of them included:

·      adopt cutting-edge innovations like linked and shared mobility services,
·      encourage sustainable mobility,
·      encourage collaboration with citizens, corporations, and the government.

We want to thank our speakers for their informed insights on this essential topic. Moreover, special thanks to Mr. Frederik Tchoungui for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.

Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next Smart Cities Alliance webinar on January 10, 2022.
