Technology Obliges

Brussels Delegation 2024

On April 9th and 10th, 2024, the European Technology Chamber (EUTECH) orchestrated a momentous delegation to the heart of Brussels, comprising esteemed representatives from our 15 alliances.

Position Paper Book:

This strategic visit was centered around the presentation of a Position Paper book detailing 198 recommendations developed by 400 experts within three foundational groups: Innovation, Sustainability, and Cooperation.

Directorates-General:

These recommendations were the focal point of discussions with high-ranking officials from 14 EU Directorates-General. Our three groups Innovation group, sustainability group, and cooperation group had separate meetings with their relevant DGs of EU. The division of these meetings was as follows:

Innovation Group – (DG CNECT, DG MOVE, DG RTD, DG CLIMA, DG AGRI, DG COMP)
Sustainability Group – (DG REFORM, DG ENER, DG CLIMA, DG COMP, DG RTD, DG AGRI, DG ENV)
Cooperation Group – (DG BUDG, DG EMPL, DG TRADE, DG REGIO)

Our delegation’s engagements went beyond routine meetings, facilitating in-depth discussions that challenged existing methodologies and underscored our commitment to advancing technologies that prioritize societal benefit. Under the banner of “Technology Obliges,” we championed a human-centric approach to digital innovation and sustainability throughout Europe.

This visit to Brussels not only offered a significant platform for idea exchange but also strengthened existing partnerships and established new connections that span the continent. We extend our profound appreciation to Florian Frhr. von Tucher, Sierra von Tucher, Henning vom Stein, Verena Essinger, Julius Schmidt, Malte Sebastián Blödorn, Humais Sheikh, and other organizers for their outstanding leadership in organizing this event.
