This week from April 5-9, 2021 is the World Health Worker Week. This year is also the year the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the International Year of Health and Care Workers, acknowledging their commitment to fighting against the ongoing pandemic.
Health heroes are on the front lines against #COVID19 and are essential for ensuring everyone gets protected. Let us raise awareness to listen to health workers and then act for them. Health workers know best what they need to be safer, healthier, and more prepared to end the COVID-19 pandemic, prevent future disease outbreaks, and ensure access to essential services for their communities. They must be given access to vaccines and get the support they need to continue their critical work.
