Thank you so much for joining today’s EU Tech Chamber German Chapter Digital Event of the German Chapter! It was delighted to see you all there.

We dove into the topic of Patents and Innovation Protection today and to listen to the Key Note Speech of Niklas Schmidt, patent attorney candidate at GOTTSCHALD Patentanwälte Partnerschaft mbB and Falco Braun, CEO at Design To IP GmbH, to understand the benefits the Patent Engine promises to create bsuccessful patents.

Sincere thanks also to our Panelist Dr. Bastian July, CEO of GoodIP, who introduced it’s technology approach and how patents can be evaluated with the help of AI.

Special thanks to our Chairman Florian von Tucher, for the presentation of the Chamber, to the Board Member German Chapter Dr. Kim Burzan for the Intro and to Nadine Böhnke for the moderation.

During the discussion, we learnt that:
· Patent activities must be configurable and implementable quickly and precisely in order to offer maximum probability of success at low cost

· It is key to identify which exact benefit the costumer has from it’s own product before thinking about a patent application

· Patent protection and the associated incentive to innovate is a very important factor in any research- and innovation-friendly environment.
