The big megatrend “Blockchain”, which is on everyone’s lips, describes a decentralized technology known as the driving force behind the next evolutionary step of the Internet, the so-called decentralized network. The blockchain is primarily a large database in which all kinds of information can be stored with the huge advantage that only new entries are added and no old ones can be deleted. At the very beginning of a blockchain system there is an originating block, all further information is then added chronologically at the end after it has been checked and confirmed. However, not only financial transactions that can be stored in the blockchain. In principle, the concept is suitable for contracts, accounting or for the management of digital goods.

Experts are certain: Blockchains will turn the world upside down in just a few years. What does this revolutionary invention promise and how can companies exploit the enormous usage and transformation potential of this new technology?

Within our webinar of the German Chapter Digital Panel on Tuesday, May 11th we will discuss the topic “New Ways Germany can Lead Through Technology: Blockchain”. We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Alexander Knauer Knauer, Managing Director of the German Company Teleskopeffekt as our Key Note Speaker.
